2018-2019 Executive Board

Mary Kelly Rich, President

Sigma | University of Washington | PC '99

As a collegian I loved every minute of my A-Phi experience: from socials to exchanges; taking on numerous house leadership positions; participating in philanthropic endeavors and sisterhoods; to just enjoying random nights that turned into the stuff of legends and memories that will last a lifetime. Ask my friend's how I feel about A-Phi and they'll tell you I am a cheerleader for all things A-Phi and continuously wants to give to others what Alpha Phi has given to me.

For the past 10+ years I have served as adviser to Sigma's Programming & Education department; mentoring collegians and helping to enhance Sigma's sisterhood and educational experience for all members. I was just recently appointed President of the Seattle Alpha Phi Alumnae Chapter and couldn't be more excited to be in this role - not to mention having an exceptional team that I am privileged to work with.

I followed in the footsteps of a long line of amazing Alpha Phi women in my family when I pledged in 1993.  I grew up hearing incredible stories of sisterhood and lifelong friendships.  My experiences as a collegiate member absolutely exceeded my wildest dreams.  There is phenomenal solidarity among our sisters from all chapters.  I was fortunate to hold a variety of leadership positions within my chapter. After 20 years working in healthcare and non-profits, I transitioned into a career in real estate.  I currently live in South King County with my husband, two sons and two dogs.

As the VP of Membership, I am looking forward to building our Alumnae Chapter and continuing to invite our sisters to continue their relationship with Alpha Phi.  Alpha Phi is not just for four years; Alpha Phi for life.

I am an LA native that has been in Seattle for two years now and I absolutely love it. Some of my best memories are as a collegiate in Alpha Phi and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of this alumnae chapter.

I was born and raised in the heart of Seattle by parents who met in their last year at the University Washington so it was always my goal to be a Husky.  The best part of campus life was pledging Alpha Phi where I found a home filled with women who became my family. The greatest memory was meeting my closest friend the night we pledged the house.  Life has been an amazing journey and I have met many fellow Alpha Phi alumni along the way.  A few years back one of those sisters encouraged me to get involved, so I did.  Along with my day job as a Sr IT Project Manager at Costco, I continue to enjoy meeting and working with fellow sisters by serving as President of the Sigma House Corporation Board and as a member of the executive committee for the Seattle Alumni chapter.  Although I loved my collegiate experience, I am finding the alumni experience to be equally amazing.   Hope to meet you at the next alumni function.

Alpha Phi has been a part of my life for over 40 years!  Yep!  I pledged in 1973 and have been privileged to be part of this amazing sisterhood ever since.  I’m a Seattle native, Sigma alumni and currently a Real Estate broker with Windermere.  I am currently the Sigma Chapter Advisor, I serve as a member of the House Corporation Board and now contribute as a member of the executive committee for the Seattle Alumni chapter.  I love working with our amazing collegiate women and also the alumni.  I’m so excited about this group’s new infusion of talent and commitment and truly hope all alumni get involved!  See you at the next function.  AOE.
